And what do we do at the expo? Well I'd say about 85% of the people there cosplay. Either dressing up as their favourate characters from animes/mangas/live actions/games or whatever. It's amazing to see so many people of different ages all dressing up!
Of course, me being an otaku too, I dressed up! x)
There's a hell lot of stuff to see there! There are loads of stalls where they sell posters, plush toys, comics, japanese magazines, pocky and loads of other stuff. There's also game areas where you try out the games they're promoting (it's free ^^), there are also stages where performances are, i.e. scenes from animes are acted out I think or some people where just having fun fighting on stage lol, and the voice overs for some animes come and speak with the people there. It's pretty cool.
But man! It was quite tiring. Got there at around 1:30 and left the place at 6:15 =_= so long. But it was good fun. I prepared bento boxes for me and my friends. I didn't really know what I was cooking and putting into the box...... but it turned out to be good! :D
I've already been to the anime expo twice or three times.. I can't remember... but it's changed from what it used to be. They've added a lot more interesting things. And this year was different too! Since I got a job in a japanese maid cafe event (that's a whole different story altogether) I gave out flyers to promote the events ^-^ and I'm happy to say that all of them were distributed wahahahahaha! >:D
But wah! I was surprised a few times today. Caught me off guard! So basically as I was handing out my flyers to promote my job place thing, some dude just came to me and took one without saying anything O_O that's so weird lol. Next is the guy that asked for my picture, I was so shocked thinking "me?? seriously???? OoO" <---- epic face LOL but gosh I didn't know what to do when he took my picture, I was so stiff hahahahaa.... Then the last one is a guy who I handed out a flyer to asked me if I was interested in modeling O_______________O WHAAATTT?! That was the most shocking one for me. Speechless. So I'm like what? I dno.... Then I pictured it and wow what a terrible scene. I'm so stiff when it comes to cameras. I mean if it's me taking the picture by myself then there's no problem but DAYUM! I can't do anything when people take my picture.... So I declined his offer LOL
